Will the real al-Qaida please stand up?

jason_burke.jpgJason Burke, Chief Reporter for the Observer and author of 'Al-Qaida: The True Story of Radical Islam', continues to resist the tide of hysteria surrounding fundamentalist currents in Islam with a lengthy, thoughtful and considered piece in the Saturday 'Review' section of The Guardian.
While not necessarily agreeing with some of his points, we commend Jason for placing the development of different strands of Islamic militancy in the context of the world in the 21st century, in their social context.
